Birthday Planning Begins

Birthday Planning Begins

I’m so excited for Reagan’s second birthday party. She turns two on September 10th and we are having a monkey themed party for her at the park. It’s amazing how much different this party is going to be from her first party.

She didn’t really realize what was going on for her 1st birthday but this is a much different story. For starters we lived in Pennsylvania for her first birthday and we didn’t have any family able to attend the affair. Now that we are back home we get to share it with all of our family; grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.

I love birthday party planning. I was fortunate that we had a bunch of leftover supplies from Rey’s 1st birthday so I decided to reuse it all. The monkey theme is the same as last year but with as many left over monkey themed plates and napkins and the fact that no one from California got to see her first birthday party I was going to get away with it.

Brian calls Reagan his little monkey so the theme is still appropriate. I know that will all change next year as she will definitely have an opinion on what her birthday is going to be so I am enjoying my decision making while it lasts!

Last night we hired our caterer for the event. I have her birthday party dress and matching bows coming from Hawaii, hopefully arriving today or tomorrow! I am so excited about this dress it’s ridiculous. All the excess supplies are here already (balloons, plates, napkins, dinnerware.)

Her cake is ordered and it’s going to be so good. It’s the same baker that did our wedding reception cake four years ago. So, this is a shameless plug post for all the amazing people making her birthday celebration happen. Thank you to all of you for helping me with the birthday planning.

It’s hard for me to believe that my baby girl is going to be two! Where did the time go? Soon enough she’s going to be a teenager and telling me to get out of her room or go to hell. Oh how the time flies. Can’t we keep them young forever?
